GONZO AT THE GARDEN

June 3, 2012

The return of the comeback. Hear the big noise. Feel the vibrations. GONZO ARMY is bringing the storm. Again.

Tupada Tuesdays
presents

BOUNCE

on June 5, 2012
7 o’clock in the evening
at the
Conspiracy Garden Cafe.

With raindrops bouncing on our roofs and students bounding back into school, the first Tuesday of June plays host to Tupada Tuesdays featuring visual performances from the following artists: Rens Bandelaria, Rogger Basco, Jhay Colis, JP Crame, Wewet David, Boyet De Mesa, Martin De Mesa, Marlon Magbanua, William Mercado, Vim Nadera, Sam Penaso, Crecee Roldan and Ronaldo Ruiz. With special guest band Gonzo Army made up of Karl De Mesa, Roger Lopez, J Luna, Ian Madrigal and Mannet Villariba, BOUNCE is all about throwing the concept of performance to the audience and catching reactions and interaction back, letting the participating individuals relate and engage performance to independence, reproduction, thought processes, self- and otherworldly- reflection. It is a chance to document the journey and hopefully arrive at a destination, while going through the motions of action and self possession.

Tupada Tuesdays is a monthly initiative of Tupada Action and Media Art (TAMA), which aims to bring visual performance events to the forefront of Philippine art of the transitory kind. The brainchild of Vim Nadera in cooperation with Conspiracy Garden Cafe, Tupada Tuesdays is slated to be the new open venue for performance artists to converge, make action, and disperse with an awareness of community, solidarity, involvement, education and constant evolution. Tupada Tuesdays Talbog (Bounce) is also held in support of the De La Salle Lipa 50th Anniversary Exhibition with a call for visual artists to participate in their art auction.
