ASWANGNOGRAPHY

December 2, 2011

For those of you who were unable to make it to the 2011 Manila Int’l Literary Festival (aka The Great Phil Book Cafe) at the Ayala Museum a couple of weeks back, Charles Tan has graciously posted the audio recording  of our panel “Myths, Legends and Folktales” in his Bibliophile Stalker blog.

With me on this podcast are esteemed genre writers Yvette Tan (Waking the Dead) and Budjette Tan (Trese) with our high hierophant  of Pinoy speculative fiction Dean Alfar (Salamanca, Kite of Stars) as moderator.

As a preview to what the panel’s like, below is a great illustration by Mervin Malonzo (Tabi Po) of one of his manananggal characters. Something we’re all obsessed about in our work.

Am purty sure Mervin’s going to be on this panel himself one day if not very soon with the great work he’s doing inspired by our lower mythology.
